Does the Hacker Safe Logo (or McAfee Secure Seal) Help or Hurt Conversion Rates? (Test results revealed…)

trust.JPGUPDATE: After several more years of testing and some MAJOR changes with Hacker Safe (now the McAfee Secure Logo) I have updated testing data to share. Click Here to read the new post!

Building trust is a critical part of the online selling process. You can have a site with good usability, fantastic copy, a great product or offer and tons of highly targeted traffic, but if your visitors do not trust you or trust that their information is going to be secure in your hands they simply will not buy from you.

According to a recent report from Jupiter Research, assurances of security influence the purchasing decisions of 62% of online shoppers.

One of the fastest and easiest ways to build visitor trust online is by displaying third party logos and trust seals such as Better Business Bureau Online logos, SSL Certificate seals and privacy seals…

Michel Fortin Did It Again! (But this time we didn’t break the webinar…)

michel-white.jpgWOW! That’s all I can say… WOW!

Well… Okay, I can say more than that…

If you missed Part 2 of our webinar, you missed something very special.

I thought Michel over-delivered on the first webinar (and he DID) but WOW… This one ROCKED!

There were a few points during the webinar where I was so busy taking notes myself I almost forgot to advance the PowerPoint slides.

(And I NEVER take notes during my own webinars, but a few things Michel said had me diving across the room for the nearest pen and paper.)

Don’t even get me started on

Who in the Heck Reads Privacy Policies? (Surprising Answer: Buyers!)

priv-pol.jpgMost online marketers and business owners know that to avoid getting into legal trouble they need to post a privacy policy on their website.

But what many are apparently unaware of is, a well crafted privacy policy can contribute to your websites conversion rates.

As I’ve discussed before, building trust is a critical component in the conversion process. Addressing issues such as privacy and security should be a cornerstone of your online trust building efforts.

Yet many online marketers fail to fully capitalize on the trust building and even persuasive power than a friendly, customer centered privacy policy can produce.

You don’t have to look at very many websites were read too many privacy policies before you realize that most sites simply add a privacy policy as almost an afterthought, simply because their legal department made them do it.

Jim regularly interviews top online marketing experts such as Mark Joyner, Randy Gage, Michael Senoff, David Frey and many others.

In this powerful, 52 minute unscripted interview Jim got me to spill the beans about parts of my business background and some of my conversion strategies that I usually only share in my $3,500+ full day workshops.

So I strongly recommend you give this interview a listen.

You can either click on the link below to go directly to the interview page at MySuccessGateway.com or you can simply hit the play button below the link, to listen to the interview right here.

The Winner of The Ask Michel Fortin Your Question Contest is…

fortin2.jpgLast week I gave you the chance to “Play With My New Favorite Toy” (Michel Fortin’s Brain), and ask my friend, mentor and million-dollar copywriter Michel Fortin any question you wanted.

In that blog post I promised that I would pick the best single question and that one person would get their question answered right here in my blog, by Michel himself.

The response was fantastic! That post received 17 comments/questions.

And… As promised, I’ve picked one of those questions to be answered right here, today, by Michel himself.

But wait there’s more… 😉

As you know I’m a BIG believer in over-delivering. (And, I like to reward those who actually take action.)

Well… Michel ALSO believes in over-delivering. So I was thrilled (but not surprised) when he offered to answer not just one, but the top THREE questions you asked. (I told ya’ 3 was a
