An Urgent Message About my Friend Jim Edwards’s Family (Please Help Right Now!)

jon-and-johnny.jpgJust a couple months ago while in Las Vegas together, Jim Edwards and I talked extensively about his son-in-law Jon’s approaching deployment to Iraq. And I was amazed at the incredible things that Jim had done for Jon and his unit to support them in their mission.

The things Jim did are private and I’m not going to share them on this blog, but rest assured it reinforced the high esteem and respect I have for my friend.

Well, I’m sad to say that this past Friday Jim’s son-in-law Jon was severely injured when the vehicle he was driving in Iraq was struck by a road- side bomb. He and 3 of his team members were badly hurt, the fifth member of the team was killed.

Tomorrow Jim and his family are headed up to Walter Reed Hospital to meet Jon after his medical transport plane arrives from Germany.…
